Still not dead, despite life's best efforts. Been very busy, too busy to update this page much.

I'll be making some vague attempt at adding things back slowly, but this may take a while. Phantasma 0.20 is mostly done, but it's going to be a minute before it's released, unfortunately.

At least it wasn't 5 months.

News: 9/12/2018
We aren't dead, I promise, just busy. Phantasma 0.20 will be released within the coming weeks, it's been a big update since we're completely changing the way color works in the game. Entirely! All tilesets and maps are being redrawn, many events are being shuffled around and things are finally being made to work again. Some more quests will be coming to light and the actual game side of things will be about 12% complete when it releases.

On the other hand, Skippy has started work on a new game as well. It's a survival game, much like Fate was intended to be, but more advanced with the advent of the new programming skills we've learned since. Hopefully you'll be getting a working beta of this fairly soon, but it could be up to a month before then, since the game is mostly menus at this point.

I'll see you all later, hopefully not another 5 months from now!

News: 4/11/2018
Greetings!

I bring to you today several new things, ranging from the beginnings of a geometric calculator written in C++ to a massive update for Phantasma regarding almost everything!

The geometric calculator is coming to light as a simple solution to finding volume of objects and converting between several different measuring schemes. A simple graphing tool is also planned for a future release.

Of course, several new additions have been added to our technique arsenal, including the new possibility for floating point division (albeit slowly), and a new way to go about networked multiplayer, not to mention to ability to communicate between several different terminal windows simultaneously! Both of these, as well as the Platformer Test, have served to open up many new things to our development team, and we are working to make these basic utilities into a shiny new game release coming to you this summer (we hope)! To use the multiple-terminal demo, extract the files to C:\AIO and run "controller.bat." Make sure that C:\AIO\TEMP is empty. Also be sure not to use spaces in the messages you send to the terminal, as those are a bit... Broken right now. They will be fixed before the final release, though.

Lastly, but most definitely not least, is the new Phantasma 0.18 update. You will need to delete your previous installation for this to work. It is stored at C:\PH. Want to know how much has changed since October? The new program file is 200KB. That's 77KB and 2768 lines larger than the previous version! Here is a simplified changelog:
-Started updating "What's New?"
-Fixed readme
-Added "SLEEP" script
-Added "ALARM" sound script, in beta phase
-Began working on shops, debug only
-Made movement work
-Began working on enemies
-Began working on story
-Began working on events
-Made collision work
-Drew up some basic maps
-Added SETMAP debug command
-Fixed save / load system several times
-Added new data for save system to load
-Fixed dozens of bugs
-Began adding quests
-Began work on inventory
-Made maps full color for Windows 7 users
-Added a minimap on the LOOK screen
-Made the minimap full color for Windows 7 users
-Added key items
-Changed map screen format
-Removed some debug garbage
-Began work on graphics
-Added UPDATE debug command
-Began work on save security to prevent save editing and cheating
-Added several new tiles
-Added a few new worlds
-Made movement between maps easier
-Made the first two quests beatable
-Added reward money
-Began implementing a customizable house feature
-Fixed the LOOK screens and tilesets several times
-Fixed the GOLD and CHEST subscripts several times
-Added a compass on the look screen
-Made portals work
-Added some new characters

I think you can definitely tell that this is a massive update to the game, and we are already hard at work on the next version, 0.20, which will further polish many of these features. Expect it to release quicker than this update though! Hopefully the sheer size of this changelog will make you understand why development was so quiet for so long, and hopefully you can forgive us for taking so long to post again!

Remember, if you find any bugs, please email us ASAP so that we can fix them!

On an unrelated note, today is my birthday! Yay me!

Until next update,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 2/27/2018
Hello again!

I've updated the old 'Batch explanations' file with some new information relating to some new breakthroughs in the technology that we have discovered since it was initially written almost three years ago.
Most of the other parts of the document have remained the same for now, but I do plan on rewriting everything in lieu of just tacking a sixth and seventh section onto the end of the file and calling it a day. Some better explanations will be added with that, but in the meantime this new, simple update should be okay.
I've moved the original file to the 'Archives' page to keep it up and available for download so that one day I can look back and point out all my errors to myself.
See you next time we have something to update,
~FAMICOMASTER

Greetings.

I've completed uploads of the platformer test programs, both the current and previous versions.

See you again later with some more updates!

News: 2/15/2018
Happy late Valentine's day, everybody!

Just cleaning up some old information on the site in preparations to release a few new updates to things.

Updated employee listings, shuffled around some of the programs at a developer's request, etc.

I've got a few more demo programs and utilities to add later on, and we're still working on several projects behind the scenes, so be sure to keep up with this page as time goes on!

A Discord server may be in the works - Initial interest is low, however, so feel free to tell us if that's a good idea or the stupidest thing you've read all day!

Hope anyone out there is doing well,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 1/5/2018
Happy new years!

No, we're not dead. Just busy working on updating other programs.

Nothing much of mention yet, just a ton of patched versions of programs to upload later, a separate news post will detail further on that.
This is mostly a save fix and routine grammar checks and stuff, nothing to be too worried about.

Here's to a good year,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 10/31/2017
Happy Halloween, everyone!

No big updates to really put here, but an update to both Phantasma and Brave Souls are in the works at the moment. We have been unable to upload the other utilities and create the other page due to technical difficulties. However, we are working on fixing the problem ASAP!

Have a happy Halloween,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 10/20/2017
Nothing huge, but I will be adding several basic testing tools to the Utilities page sometime today. Potentially, I will split all of these documents off of Utilities to make a new page based specifically around teaching programming languages, but this is still just an idea at the moment.

See you later,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 10/11/2017
Good news, everyone!
Phantasma has been updated to 0.16 and has nearly doubled in size and complexity since the previous version (0.15). Movement controls now work, and maps are being implemented soon.
Apologies for the lack of updates, but this has been a very big update to the game so I hope you will all understand when you see the new version!

Brave Souls may be getting a new update soon, as well as a shiny new page. The update will include a save function.

Thanks for staying with us,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 10/4/2017
Time for some good news and bad news. Bad news is that Brave Souls won't receive an update for some time. Good news is that this next update will have many features, ranging from learning AI to class abilities and traits. We have no idea when the update will drop, but hopefully the content will make it worth the wait.

Thank you for your patience,
~Skippy

News: 9/28/2017
Brave Souls is roughly 75% cleaned up and actual development should resume in about a week or two. Aside from the text cleanup there have been some minor bug fixes and small improvements. The Barbarian and Swordsman classes have been renamed to Warrior and Dueler, respectively, as well as some minor balance changes to the classes.

Thank you for your patience, any comments, concerns or criticisms are welcome.
~Skippy

News: 9/21/2017
Updated Phantasma to it's latest version (0.15), which includes several new features and bug fixes. The save system has changed completely, it is critical that you delete your old data before attempting to run this updated version! It has nearly doubled in size since 0.14 because of these changes, and is overall better in every way. We are still working to fix various bugs left in the new save system (Deleting saves does not work correctly just yet, and it always thinks it's overwriting a previous save that does not exist...), but enough basic functionality exists now that we figure it's ready for a beta release. The help system is also done now.

I have moved Brave Souls from the 'Canceled' page back to the 'Games' page, as it has received a new update (0.92), which includes many various fixes over it's previous version. Development has also started on the save system, but this is subject to change so be careful.

On a side note, both MediaFire and Dropbox has dropped out completely now, so we have taken our business to Google Drive. New downloads will be hosted there instead, and old downloads may be moved very soon. I've left comments enabled on the Drive links, so feel free to share your thoughts about our games!

I have updated the Archives page to include all previous (documented) versions as well.

Sorry for the inconvenience, but a lot has taken place this last week and we are grateful for your patience.

Same time next week,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 9/13/2017
Updated the listings for Phantasma to include the latest version (0.14). You will need to delete your version and configuration information files before you can play the latest version. This will probably be fixed in a later version.

The save system will be changing drastically very soon, and Brave Souls is scheduled to receive a modified version of the old system at some point in the near future.
Skippy is working on graphics and porting a battle system to Phantasma - the graphics are already well underway.

Some new user options may become available in the next update of Phantasma as well.

As always, happy playing and thank you for being patient with us.

Until next time,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 9/7/2017
I will be trying to resurrect Brave Souls (hopefully cleaning up this mess of a program in the process) and will continue development once I think it is ready. Changes will include getting rid of the all caps text (an annoying addition in hindsight.)

As far as Phantasma goes, the battle engine is underway and I will try to get that to you guys as soon as possible.

Graphics will be made/adjusted in both games, hopefully with less of the menu borders and more of the block characters.

Here's to hoping that everything goes smoothly,
-Skippy

News: 8/28/2017
From now on, we will be using DropBox as our file hosting service, as Mediafire has proven to be unreliable.
Any new updates to any documents available on this page will be uploaded there.
The archives will eventually be moved to the new service in the future.

We thank you for your patience.

On a brighter note, Phantasma version 0.12 is now available!

Hopefully nothing happens to our file sharing services this time,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 8/24/2017
Tragedy strikes! Mediafire has been down for the last few days, which has prevented us from actually uploading the latest version of Phantasma to the website!
We are currently working on changing to a more reliable service and hopefully functionality will have been completely restored by the end of the day.

Terribly sorry for the inconvenience.

On a brighter note however, SkipperDMudkipz has agreed to write some posts for the News page again, and he is back onboard with the game development!

Here's to hoping for some more good luck in the future,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 8/23/2017
Phantasma 0.11 has been released. It will now automatically create the default folders and create identifier files for you!
Saves now work, and you can also save the configuration to be automatically loaded on startup!
We're finally getting around to creating the rest of the game, now that the menus and basic backbone are completely working.

Hopefully it'll be uploaded by the end of the day, maybe even with another update in between?

We'll see about it, but until next time that's all the news we have.
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 5/18/2017
Some more updates on Phantasma - We translated it from C++ to Batch, which surprisingly enough opened up a lot more functionality!
Previous warnings have changed again:
-Now requires specific folders to be present on your hard disk - though they can be empty if you wish. See Games for more information.
-Visual Studio 2005 is optional, only if you want graphics and sound.
-Windows XP SP2 or later is also required for graphics and sound.
-Windows XP x64, Server 2003, and 10 are completely unsupported and the game will crash on startup if run on any of these.
-Made things look nicer
-Added stats
-Added saving the game
-Added a couple debug tools to make things slightly easier on us
-Fixed a lot of random bugs you never saw because you didn't get the earlier batch versions
-Some other misc. housekeeping and all that

We've kinda got a story figured out, but it's nothing major just yet. Stay tuned for more updates!

Until next time,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 4/24/2017
Again, nothing earth-shattering, but version 0.03 of Phantasma has been released!
Previous warnings have changed:
-Installation of Visual Studio 2005 under windows 8, 8.1, and 10 is possible considering you enable .NET 3.5.
-Sound under Windows 8 and later is slow and very buggy - This is because they changed the way the Beep(); instruction works, instead of pinging the system speaker it now reroutes to the sound card, which slows everything down.

Changelog:
-Added partial support for graphics and muisc (APIs for future use)
-Finished character creation
-Working on improving animations
-Added character creation
-Planned major internal structural changes
-Graphics are back on, title screen is being digitized
-Added support for sound effects
-Added menu select sound effect
-Added game menu
-Started implementing debug features

I'd say it's really starting to come along nicely!

See you next update, ~FAMICOMASTER

News: 4/14/2017
Nothing big in particular, just version 0.02 of Phantasma. Previous warnings still in effect - Possibly changing soon.

Changelog:
-Added title screen animations
-Added new game function
-Added other animations
-Added sarcasm
-Internal management of the error handler has been changed slightly
-Extra documentation included in readme.txt
-Development changes in upper management have put graphics off of development for a while
-Invented a storyline and waiting for it to be fully written

Other than that, nothing major has happened.

See you all later,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 4/13/2017
Hello all!
We've begun developing a new game called Phantasma! The details are a bit loose at the moment, but an initial version featuring a few small things is being uploaded as I type this.
It's our first real project in C++ - Meaning it may or may not work correctly depending on your system configuration.
It is programed in Visual C++ 2005 and includes the Borland Graphics API for this version. This means you may need to install VS2005 or update the BGI files to version 2008 to be compatible with modern versions of Visual Studio.

Source code is included, as well as a pre-built EXE in the 'Debug' folder.

Brave Souls development has been completely cancelled at this point - If someone wants it continued you can take it upon yourself to do so, or request we work on it again. Just be sure to get in contact first!

P.S. I can't believe that worked!

Until next time,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 4/3/2017
Hello! It's been a while I realize, but business has been slow for us. Many of the employees have either taken leave or retired at this point, and it's starting to seem like I'm the only one left here. Regardless, I've uploaded the C++ documentation and template files, and a little project I've made that monitors the position of your mouse cursor.

On a side note, author of Brave Souls SkipperDMudkipz has abandoned his project and handed over development to me, so a few more updates that are mostly bug fixes should be coming your way sometime in the future.

The move to C++ is also finally coming around soon, if you couldn't tell.

Hopefully this will encourage some of the employees to come back and work on projects, but I doubt that honestly.

Until next time,
~FAMICOMASTER

Hurray for us, this news page has now been in place for just over one whole year!

News is slow for now since not much is getting done, but I am writing a book and a new programming language, so there's that.

Stay tuned, it might help to subscribe to page changes.

~FAMICOMASTER

News: 10/6/2016
Glad to bring you an update about a week after the last!

The archives were updated to include the previous versions of Churro's "The Storm," whose development is actually going very quickly.

Some things you might want to know:
-Journey 2 has been put on a temporary delay, I'm burned out on programming now and I really don't want to sift through my mess of a program to continue it at the moment. It shan't be cancelled, however.
-Brave Souls is finally getting a story some time this month, so watch out for that.
-Brave Souls is being prepared for completion and a port to TI Basic is planned.
-The Storm by Churro is actually getting the quickest updates of any program to be posted here, with a functional battle system after just one week.
-Archives was updated to add all previous version of the programs I had on hand.
-Wizard's Quest will be getting a bug fix update soon, as well as the inclusion of a new save system.
-Journey will be getting a bug fix update soon, and the new save system.
-The Storm is going to include the new save system by default
-Steve Jobs the Virus may have just had the final nail put in it's coffin. The new version's release date is set to be quite far in the future, the summer of 2019, to be specific. Even then, that's a big maybe.
-Brave Souls' final release will include the new save system.
-Monster Fighter is going to be under the knife this afternoon for a complete overhaul to try and make it work.
-Churro is now allowed to edit the news page.

Hopefully I can make it a weekly routine to update the news and website, everybody else has stopped at this point due to varying causes.

I'll be back,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 9/30/2016
A long, long time ago, on a website far in the past...
We've still managed to not die off for the time being.

Some files are going to be updated really soon, and despite some things having practically died off, many projects will be returning if all goes accordingly.

A few things worthy of mention:
-Journey 2 has been delayed, but I'll give you the version I have right now. The version numbering is off (0.017 despite being quite near completion, at least two thirds of the way done by now), but many of the base functions are completed and at least semi-functional.
-Brave Souls has gotten an update, so it's not particularly dead just yet. Some computer issues have once again temporarily slowed this game's development.
-Steve Jobs the Virus is set to continue whenever possible.
-The move to a new language is on hold until further notice.
-The new save system should be done by Christmas at latest.
-The Storm, a game by novice programmer Churro will be released very soon. A beta version will be uploaded shortly for demonstration purposes.
-Monster Fighter might be coming back soon. We're still accepting new name ideas and submissions for monsters until stated otherwise, so if you'd like to have a part in the making of the game, you can contact us about that any time!

Hopefully all of you are doing well on the other side, we'll see to it that our current projects are completed (mostly) before the fall of 2019.

Another late update from AiO Softworks,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 8/28/2016
It's certainly been a while since anything here has been updated, that can be said for sure.

Hello everybody! We apologize for the quite long delay, this page is long overdue for an update!

I'd like to mention a few things quickly:
-Journey 2 is nearly completed!
-We're working on moving the team to C++ and or Python 2.4 for development of applications, we've been wanting to do this for a little while now and we're going to try and initialize the transfer soon.
-Things are still getting done, just very slowly because we have other, higher priorities at the moment.
-A new save system has been developed and the RPG series will soon be updated to reflect that, no more typing in complicated passwords, thanks to a save system invented by the creators of "Final Realm," which can be downloaded here: http://finalrealm.weebly.com. These guys are geniuses!
-After the move to a new language is completed, some functionality in programs may change due to different and or missing functions of the new languages, though the change has to be enacted at some point regardless, as Batch is becoming a security issue, and it's a little bit limiting in the audio / visuals department.
-Some internal equipment issues occurred and were resolved over this period of inactivity, including my primary computer having broken down not once, but twice.

We hope you can forgive us all for the delay, and that we can continue to create fun little trinkets of programs and games for everybody to use.

See you all later,
~FAMICOMASTER

SkipperDMudkipz here, long time no see guys.

Brave Souls was on haitus for a bit, but work has resumed on the game.Sorry for the delay, but school is wrapping up and I want to finish strong. Tae Kwon Do is also a bit of a priority. Once summer its, however, this will become a high up priority. Thank you guys for your patience.
Brave Souls should have the following soon:
-Save system! You will be able to save and load profiles into the game. Due to this mechanic, contemplation for a PVP mechanism is being considered. Email me your thoughts guys.
-Shop system under way. Hopefully there will soon be a working shop as well as a sell mechanic. Turn that junk into gold!
-Work on combat system hasn't begun yet, but will start soon. Implementation of new stats will begin also.
-Game is being given a Text Log option. This way the CLS command will be turned off. More or less a debug option, but for those who want to play like that your welcome to it.
-The game guide will soon be updated to compensate for all the new features
-Monsters such as skeletons will soon be implemented.
-Golden monsters have been put off for the side for now, as I want to make sure that the game works before I add any bonus features.
The main focus of the game right now is to get everything working, and as a result no new stuff will be added in the next few updates. I made the mistake of adding so many new features that I ended up burying myself in incomplete work. So all work will be focused on getting incomplete stuff done.

On a side note, Journey 2 is confirmed, and work is underway by Famicomaster. I might be wrong on some of these, but new features include a class system and I believe a map system.

Thank you for tuning in to the site. Hope you enjoy our games.
-SkipperDMudkipz

News: 3/1/2016
Journey is finally complete, and a day earlier than planned, too!

Here are some screenshots of gameplay(linked to another page):
Intro screen
Main screen
Player stats
Battle stats
Weapons shop

The release of Journey, the most advanced game we've ever developed, and possibly the most advanced BATCH game ever developed full-stop, also marks the restart of Monster Fighter (still taking name suggestions), the Pokemon clone written in batch. Work on this will resume as soon as is possible, which may still be a while as our other two programmers are working on projects of their own (Brave Souls and Steve Jobs the Virus, respectively).

Looking farther ahead, in the meantime I've got some really great new ideas for another game, which may or may not manifest themselves as either a sequel to Journey (which may come out later this year still) or Monster Fighter (still hoping for a better name...).

On a side note, all the debug features have been cleanly removed from the BATCH version of Journey, and the passwords changed to impossibly long strings for the EXE version. This is in an effort to attempt to make people hopefully play the game for the game itself and not all of it's cheating features.

However, if you do desire a copy of the debug-enabled version of Journey, please contact me and I will send you a temporary link to the file.

To many more finished games,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 2/26/2016
Not a big update, but I just thought I'd say that Journey v871 will be released as a small patch to fix some small numerical errors regarding stats in the opening sequences of the game.

Until next time,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 2/24/2016
Steve Jobs the Virus is currently on Version 0.3, with a truly functional class system, stats, and a shorter opening sequence for minimal annoyance. It should be uploaded tomorrow. Version 0.4, which should be uploaded within a few days to a week, will have enemies, boss fights, and a (hopefully) functional combat system.
That should be all!
-Talon657

As you can see, it has been almost a month now since SkipperDMudkipz has posted, but updates to the game have been released (v0.85 current release), and it seems to be on track to be released by summer of this year, and Journey has been delayed by a bit as I go around and help with other ongoing projects in the company, as well as the fact I am currently limited to a PowerMac G5 and cannot edit my scripts without emulation, though I have put together a low-end Pentium III system for the time being to try and get at least a little work done these days, and currently it's working on installing Service Pack 4 for Windows 2000.

I've also uploaded a new version of Journey (version 863) to the website (with the few updates I've actually added since the last time, excluding the help menu), as well as gone ahead and uploaded all the versions you never got to see between v806 and now. This will likely be the last update made to Journey that actually includes any major updates. I have not yet checked for total stability, but I have it on good authority that everything should be working correctly, if my knowledge is anything to go by.

According to it's creator Talon657, Steve Jobs the Virus will once again be coming back from the dead as it will apparently have a new update soon, if not tomorrow.

In other news, all files will soon be moved to a new file server because the current one is a complete mess, this will be enacted within the next few days / weeks, so if you can't download a file for some reason, please email me!

Finally, just notifying you all that the company activity will likely drastically increase these next few months for finals. Hopefully this won't be very long and we'll be back to full capacity once again. See our next update in 2019!
Until next time,
~FAMICOMASTER

Hello, this is the first time in ages that I have been back on the site. I have been working on Brave Souls, and hopefully there will soon be a save system in the game! However, there have been no successful scripts written, so this might be added later in the game. In theory, there should be skeletons in the game. I haven't been able to bug test the game, so there might be some problems. If you encounter any issues, just give my email a ring, and hopefully I can release a patch. The game is operational, but there are a lot of unfinished parts to it. Right now battling and gold addition is known to work. I haven't been able to test the shop, and as of now there are no items. Thank you for your patience, this game will take a while. I believe that none of the Admins have been on lately, except for FAMICOMASTER to update the games. I think the site may be slowly going offline. I hope I'm wrong.

News: 2/12/2016
Quick update here, I've uploaded the latest existing versions of both Brave Souls (version 0.8) and Journey (version 806 or v0.806 if you prefer that).

I've also added to the Archives page.

I guess it wasn't as long between updates.
Until next time,

Long time no news! Journey 0.700 has been uploaded to the site (ages ago now), and 0.720 is on it's way to the internet, but due to technical difficulties occurring when editing the News page, I've only now just posted about it...

Journey will likely be having it's debug tools removed, as well as gameplay made longer and more complex to give a more... "game-like" feeling than it currently has. This will include nerfed weapons and enemies, a longer map, an actual storyline, and the full implementations of not only a level system, but a quote on quote "real" A.I. for monsters and even the finished version of the bow and arrows and keys.

In other news, Brave Souls will be continuing it's development soon, and Journey will soon be finished!
The entire team will likely soon move to JavaScript or another, more portable language than BATCH once all current projects are finished.

Hopefully, it won't be nearly as long before our next update, but until then,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 1/13/2016
Journey version 0.561 has now been uploaded to the site, as well as version 0.5 and 0.555 being added to the Archives page.
We're planning a really big group project game in the background, so watch out for future news updates!

We may be moving to a new programming platform (probably BASIC or Java) in the near future, though even after the changeover our other programs will continue to receive updates until they are completed. The group project game mentioned above will likely be our last big project to be written in BATCH scripts and converted to EXE.

Brave Souls is going to be on hold until next Monday by our predictions, and Steve Jobs the Virus has again been pushed back due to more electronic difficulties at the office.

Chorro's game will receive it's first upload by next Monday as well, and the programmer in training will also be releasing something within the coming weeks, so stay tuned for both!

Until next time,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 1/12/2016
Wow! Sorry about the serious lack of news recently, lots of technical difficulties and other background issues because, again, we do have lives outside this business, believe it or not, so take that into account before ratting on us!

Anyways, Brave Souls won't be getting any updates for another few days, and Journey will be updated to version 560 (v0.560) as soon as it is completed!
Steve Jobs the Virus has been put on hold for the next month or two due to more technical difficulties (I'm starting to think Steve Jobs really is haunting his computer!).

Novice programmer Chorro will soon be releasing his first project later this month, so do look forward to that!
We have secretly also been looking into training a new employee, who wishes not to be spoken more of until further notice.

In other news today, FileDrop has also been put on hold indefinitely until I can actually find a way to get it working, and finally, the last thing on my news agenda today, is that This website will get a big upgrade soon, possibly to a new server even, if I can manage that. We'll see how it goes. Stay tuned for future updates, or subscribe to page changes (the equivalent of following) on the "Recent Site Activity" page at this link.

Have a wonderful... whatever it is you normies do for a living, and do come back next time!

News: 1/7/2016
Hey hey hey! I uploaded Brave Souls 0.4 to the website just a few minutes ago, and I hope you guys enjoy it as much as August did programming it! P.S. you didn't ever send me a "fixed version," so I instead uploaded the latest version I had (with the incomplete Game Over screen).

Speaking along the lines of Brave Souls, development should now be mostly back on track with the replacement of the hard disk and reinstallation of Windows on August's laptop (a Dell Inspiron 2600), meaning steady updates should be coming the internet's way, especially with the fact that it now has a functional connection to the internet! That laptop is probably one of the oldest things in his possession at this point, and I still don't understand just why he doesn't use the much newer Acer Aspire One that I know he has. Oh well.

I'm currently working on getting more updates ready for Journey, some of which will likely be completed by the end of the week (tagged with a new version, probably v0.550 or something like that).

Development setbacks just keep piling on as fairly new programmer Talon657 has yet again delayed updates to Steve Jobs the Virus due to electronic failures!

See you soon,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 1/7/2016
Hope you guys are enjoying the latest version of Brave Souls (unless Joey hasn't uploaded 0.4) Right now he might be uploading the more fixed version I sent him. (battles, in theory, should work. I didn't get the time to see if they work.) As of now, there have been a few changes:

-Golden Monsters have been confirmed! The exact probability of encountering one is 32,768! Keep your eyes peeled and your spirits high! You might find one!
-Gender is being introduced! The only main things this will impact (subject to change) is mostly pronouns in game lines.
-GAME OVER Screen is being added, as well as a Death screen! Don't give up, the realm needs you!
-XP System has a heavy chance of being confirmed in the next newsletter! XP might also be used as currency to upgrade your weapons (Somewhat like Minecraft, which we don't own. Don't sue us please, Mojang!)

Hope you guys like what you see, and if you have any comments, concerns, questions, my contacts are on the home page. Until next time!

News: 1/3/2016
Introducing: FileDrop from MediaFire (our current file host)! This will (hopefully)allow for significantly faster updates to the programs available on the site and hopefully easier transfer of research and bug fix material, resulting in more stable, better written programs.

On another note, the Archives page has been updated to include the following programs and their versions:
Brave Souls (0.1 and 0.2)
Steve Jobs the Virus (Original and 0.1)
Journey (0.31, 0.41, 0.43, and 0.46)

Hopefully, if I can find the other versions of Journey and the previous versions of Wizard's Quest, we'll have a complete Archives page!
This will probably be the last update to the news page today, so until next time,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 1/3/2016
There was an error on the Games subpage! The download links were having problems (Brave Souls was linking to Steve Jobs the Virus), so until I get an updated version of Brave Souls, you'll have to deal with the backup copy I have on the file server (MediaFire at the time of writing this). On a brighter note, Brave Souls will hopefully get it's rightful update on the main page soon enough, probably around this week. Possibly this Friday if we can manage the time.

Some updates to Journey (now v0.500):
-Shop system completely functional now
-Fixed numerous problems with cheating
-Fixed some grammatical errors
-Fixed colors after an error occurs
-Started work on movement and monster generation
-Changed the debug password
-Changed the OP password
-Changed the god password
-Created an in-game character editor
-Revised the error screen
-Fixed some randomizers
-Changed the way version numbers are displayed
-Revised the initializer
-Remade the character creator internally
-Building a new battle system because copying the TextEngine menus would take more work than just making a new one altogether
-Remade the store algorithms
-Removed unneeded portions of the program and generally cleaned up
-More housekeeping
-Fixed an error causing the store to be unusable if you were an Archer or a Rioter

So that's what all I've been working on over the holidays. Merry belated Christmas, and happy new years! (Though personally, I wish people would stop sending off fireworks 2 days late!)

Happy New Year!

Sorry about not updating my information sooner, as my home laptop is off the internet, and the rig is crappy to begin with. I just wanted to update what is happening with the newest Brave Souls version:

-Stats introduced.
-Combat system in progress.
-Fixed bug about not being able to change your name in the name creation screen.
-Some minor bug fixes.
-Contemplating introducing a monster-dex, with information about all the monsters, such as HP, ATK strength, etc.
-Shop system is partially operational, however purchases cannot be made.
-Note: Monster Generator only creates the Slime monster right now. However, that will be fixed in the future to include monsters such as skeletons and zombies, as well as some of my own monsters!
-Removed the gender system... for now.
-Considering adding an XP system.
-Considering adding golden monsters! Golden monsters are extremely rare (a 1 in 15,000 chance, rounded heavily) and give major XP (possibly, see above) and gold drops, up to 20x the original amount!

The new copy of the game may not be uploaded today, due to me being on a mac right now. But rest assured that it will be uploaded soon. A note for those worried about storage: right now, the game has almost doubled in size, going to about 10 KB. Shouldn't be hefty, but just a little FYI.

Game on, my friends,
-SkipperDMudkipz

Massive updates to how the website works and looks, as well as cleaned up and organized some of the very messy HTML under the hood of the main website (Google makes it so hard to properly manage an HTML file when other people edit it, so much so that I really don't even want to touch the mess of HTML that is this News page!).

That should be all for today, until next time,
~FAMICOMASTER

News: 12/22/2015
Most other projects' productions have ceased in timing with the holiday season!
This, however, does not include Journey, my main focus, for I have nothing to do over these cold times.

The next version to be uploaded to the website will be version 0.5, when it is finally completed (I'm on v0.492 currently). This should be around New Years.

On a side note, I seem to have lost the majority of contact with the other programmers, and until further notice will be working alone again as the original sole member of the AiO team. Happy holidays, everybody!

P.S. To the other page administrators and moderators: PLEASE update the date / time / user codes at the bottom of the page! There are reasons for these stamps to exist!

In the meantime, Merry Christmas, Happy Haunakah (Does it look like I care how it's really spelled?), Happy Kwanza, etc.
We accept all who don't try to kill us here!

Until next time,
~FAMICOMASTER

We have begun apprenticing someone who is very new to programming (Was psyched about typing "Hello" into a terminal) and is currently learning about BATCH scripting from the .txt document in the Utilities section!
Wow he just managed to break the system, but we fixed it. I don't even know how. Anyway, we will be tutoring him in programming.

News: 12/16/2015
I've given you all the updated version of Journey a bit early. You'll get 0.46 instead, but that's for my selfish reasoning of wanting to have the holidays mostly off. I also realized that I am now about 24 hours late on delivering the updated versions of Brave Souls (v0.21) and Steve Jobs the Virus (v0.2).

So, here you go then!
Subscribe to page changes for future updates and news!

News: 12/15/2015,
Journey version 0.5 will be uploaded to the site as well as Steve Jobs the virus and Brave souls' updated version.

On a note to the other site administrators, please update the date / time as well every time you change the information on a page!

News: 12/14/2015
I was considering not even posting a short update here, but I figured its a news update.

Steve Jobs the virus will be out back into production, with the first version, (0.1) having merely an intro. But it is an ambitious project for me, having not ever actually programmed a game before, but hopefully it will turn out okay!

-Talon657

News: 12/14/2015
As of now, Brave Souls is my main focus, and so I will not be working on any other projects until it is done. What I plan to do is make a working battle engine, post that in Game Engines, and finish the game from there.

As of now, there are three classes: Wizard, the glass cannon, Barbarian, the meat shield, and the Mage, the celestial healer. There will be a God class in the debug, but that may or may not be available to the public. The engine for battle is nearing completion, as monsters are being programmed into the game. Other than that, just stay tuned.

Program on, my friends,
-SkipperDMudkipz

News: 12/14/2015
Steve Jobs the Virus has been considered to be brought out of the digital void that is vaporware. In other news, reparations and updates are being brought to Brave Souls and Journey at a staggering rate, though the next versions of the games that will be released will be as follows:

Journey next update, Version 0.5, Release Date: TBA, Shops and Movement will be added, plus character creation and a debug mode only available to those with a secret password!

Brave Souls: 0.2, Release Date: TBA, Bug fix for unlimited gender options, and others. Some patches for random bug fixes. He has also become close unlocking the secrets of the battle system. Also monsters.

As a side note, we are still accepting ideas for Monster Fight monsters and titles. Send to emails hehathorn53@gmail.com, FAMICOMASTER@gmail.com, or SkipperDMudkipz@gmail.com. Also it seems Journey is taking priority over Monster Fight, and after Journey is completed, Monster Fight will be out of hiatus.

News: 12/7/15,
An update to the original post, after a few questions asked, it has been confirmed that Agnast da Beefy is going to oversee story production of Journey, the Brave Souls companion/sequel game by FAMICOMASTER, for continuity reasons. FAMICOMASTER has also stated that he is in charge of the programming itself. This being said, the games will have differing engines as they are being made by different programmers. Both Brave Souls and Journey will be in production at the same time, though Brave Souls is expected to release first.
-Talon657

News: 12/7/15,
Brave Souls, the turn-based RPG by programmer Agnast da Beefy, has been confirmed to have a sequel or companion game by the title: Journey. It should have a similar game engine and workings, though Brave Souls has not been perfected, so all of the game's inner workings are mere speculation. Updates will be had when necessary!
